Step One: Turn Off the Water Supply

The first step to fixing a loose toilet handle is to turn off the water supply. This will prevent any further damage from being done to the toilet or the handle.

Once the water supply is turned off, take a look at the handle. If it is still attached to the toilet, then you can simply tighten it with a wrench. However, if the handle has come completely off, then you will need to reattach it.

To do this, first locate the two screws that hold the handle in place. Once you have found these screws, remove them and set them aside. Then, line up the holes in the handle with the holes in the toilet. Once you have done this, insert the screws and tighten them.

Step Two: Remove the Tank Lid
